Safe bed position for maximum safety: The nursing staff receive a notification on their
phones/tablets/PCs/screens when the status changes from 'safe bed position' to 'unsafe bed position'. A safe bed
position means:

Activated brakes: The brakes must be engaged, so that the bed cannot move when the care professional
leaves the room.
•
Lowest bed height (sleeping position): The bed should be in the lowest position to minimize the risk of
falling.
•
Monitoring the position of side guards: You can track whether the sideguards are up or down via a
dashboard.

Out-of-bed detection: The out-of-bed detection system uses sensors to detect if a patient has left the
bed. This feature is also linked to an UnderBedLight. Moreover, an automatic alarm signal can be sent when a
patient leaves the bed. This feature can be personalized to the patient's profile and/or the amount of time during
which the patient is out of the bed.

Nurse call by the patient: If the patient needs help or if the nursing staff need extra assistance, a
signal is sent by a single press of the button. This feature is integrated into the DuoSafe panels and is received
by nearby nursing staff.
This information is intuitively displayed on a dashboard linked to the LynX® alarm server.
Additional possibilities
1. Domotics control: The patient control on the DuoSafe sideguards can be equipped with 2 buttons. These buttons
can be used to activate various features such as the room light or reading lamp, blinds, etc.
2. Localization: The bed is equipped with Bluetooth technology for localisation, which is essential for nurse
calls without a link to a specific room. This system also allows the technical service to quickly find out in
which room the bed is that is due for maintenance. A Bluetooth network is required to use this feature.
3. CPR alarm: The DuoSafe panels on the patient side have a button to call the nursing staff. On the outside,
there is a button to contact the emergency team. When the CPR handle is operated, an alarm signal is automatically
sent to the emergency services, ensuring a quick response in emergency situations.
4.Service Info: The system records detailed information about electrical components, such as voltage levels and
power consumption. This data can be used to detect problems and plan predictive maintenance, extending the bed's
lifespan and reducing malfunctions.
Haelvoet Connect Solutions is part of an ECO system, providing even more solutions for care institutions thanks to
the integration of intelligent LED lighting from Zumtobel via the LynX® alarm server.
Technical information:
The solution consists of 3 components:
1.
Bed: The connected bed is equipped with sensors in the mattress platform and sideguards, with an
integrated communication card linked to the bed's control system.
This communication card will send
information/data to the (alarm) server via the Wi-Fi network.
2.
IT infrastructure: All data is wirelessly communicated to the alarm server via Wi-Fi (data
communication) / Bluetooth (localisation).
3.
Nurse call system: The system operates with a 25/8 nurse call system, but can be linked to other nurse
call systems via an interface on the alarm server.
